TO: Women’s Council Members
The following positions: President, 1st Vice President, 2nd Vice President, 3rd Vice President, Recording Secretary, Treasurer, Assistant Treasurer, Financial Secretary and Correspondent Secretary are deemed opened for Women’s Council officers at the upcoming election.
Listed below are the RULES that must be followed for the upcoming election:
- To be eligible to run for national office in the Women’s Council, a person must be a
- Member of the Women’s Council and financial for the past three (3) years.
- To be eligible to vote, membership status must be current by June 30, 2020.
- All candidates must submit to the Nominating Committee a signed recommendation letter from the local chapter president. If there is no existing chapter in your city/state, you must submit a letter from your local NAREB Board President or State President. One copy of the letter must be presented prior to the interview.
- Candidates must submit one (1) copy of their resume.
- Candidates must submit the position they are interested in and state why they are interested in running for this position.
- Each candidate will make a presentation of three (3) minutes or less at the interview. The interview date, and time will be submitted to each applicant.
- Be sure to wear red and your lapel pin for the interview.
- Nominations can and will be taken from the floor EXCEPT for the positions of President and Vice Presidents.
- The nominations will be posted on the Women’s Council website 24 hours prior to the election.
- No person serving on the nominating committee is eligible to run for office.
